A Meade LX200R scope, although not my first scope, was my first venture into really looking closely at some of the wonders of the night sky. Step by step I learned about aligning the scope and using the built in database to find things I had only read about or saw on the internet. My interest was growing and taking a second step - being able to control the scope from 20 feet away, while looking at a sky map on my laptop screen - I was getting hooked. But to make photographs; surely that must be fantastic. The journey into deep space had begun!
Enter the site and I'll share with you, in pictures, how the journey has progressed. It is not an album of the best 'astro' images you have ever seen - far from it- but rather a look at the results of my efforts to learn & improve. In that, perhaps I can encourage others starting out, or at the very least, please you with some of the images.
You will also find some information about the equipment used to take the images and links to useful sites/information on the web.
